AMANDA BADEN (Bay-den), MSBA
Owner and Head Pastry Chef
Hi everyone, I’m Amanda! I’m a pastry chef based in Northern Virginia, living my dream of running my very own bakery. My journey began in my grandmother’s kitchen, where I "helped" bake meringues—mostly by licking the spoon! Those early moments sparked a lifelong passion for baking, and I’ve been creating ever since.
My passion for baking led me to pursue formal education in the culinary arts. I earned an associate degree in Baking & Pastry Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University in Miami. I later completed a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Virginia Tech. This education provided me with the foundation to combine creativity with business acumen, ultimately bringing my bakery dreams to life.

I made my first wedding cake in 2019 and immediately fell in love with the process. The artistry, precision, and joy of contributing to such a special day captivated me, and wedding cakes quickly became one of my favorite things to craft.
Since then, I’ve continued to hone my skills and earn recognition in the wedding and dessert industry, including Best Flavor and Attendee’s Choice at the 2024 Brides & Weddings Cake-Off, Best Dessert Design for the 2024 Association of Wedding Professionals Editorial Shoot Competition, and in 2025, multiple honors including Best Flavor, Best Presentation, and Most Creative at the Brides & Weddings Cake-Off, as well as People’s Choice and Most Instagrammable Cake at the Hunt Country Celebrations Design Duel. I’ve also been named a 2025 Best of Zola vendor, 2025 Association of Wedding Professionals Member of the Year, and most recently, a 2026 Weddy Award Winner, reflecting my ongoing commitment to creating desserts that are as memorable as they are delicious.
When I’m not baking, you can find me enjoying hot yoga, attending concerts, or exploring my fascination with astrology, tarot, and numerology. These hobbies keep me inspired and balanced, fueling my creativity in and out of the kitchen.
To my friends, family, and all my taste testers over the years—thank you for your encouragement and support. It means the world to me. I can’t wait to share my passion and pastries with you!
